Nigeria’s fintech powerhouses PalmPay and Moniepoint have been ranked among Africa’s fastest-growing companies in the 2025 edition of the Financial Times/Statista annual report. The recognition cements Nigeria’s position as a global leader in financial technology innovation.

Out of all African companies surveyed, only three Nigerian firms made it to the top 10:

Moniepoint


Afex (agric-tech)



Over 125 Nigerian firms appeared in the full ranking, more than any other country — even South Africa.
