 Warner Bros. and director Matt Reeves are finally moving forward with The Batman Part II, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2022 blockbuster. According to MovieWeb, a crew member’s Instagram post revealed that filming is scheduled to commence “in a couple of months,” signaling that cameras are officially rolling soon.

SuperHeroHype reported that production will begin at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London on January 1, 2026, where pre-production is already ramping up with department heads organizing crews across all technical areas. 


Film industry outlet TechRadar further confirms this timing, citing Warner Bros. Discovery’s Q2 2025 earnings report, which officially states that filming will begin in spring 2026. Meanwhile, People corroborates the schedule, noting that the sequel, starring Robert Pattinson, is slated to begin filming next spring, with an expected release in October 2027.

Per CinemaBlend, the script is complete and production has entered the pre-production phase. Filming is set to begin at Leavesden Studios on January 1, 2026, setting the stage for the sequel’s eventual release.
